The summer of 2008 was probably the worst summer on record for the South West and many public events were cancelled, even the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford.

The Helicopter Museum also suffered because the experience flights on Sundays and Wednesdays had to be cancelled due to bad weather.

Simon suggested bringing in his Simulator to entertain the public as an added attraction.

The public feed back from these simulated flights performed in the theatre was very positive.

Articles in the local press were popular, with the public phoning the museum to come and have a go.

Thus FSC2009 was born,

Word got out that the Helicopter Museum was a venue perfect for a convention and virtual airlines, clubs and traders started contacting us to support the event, the Air Ambulance, the Helicopter Huseum and its causes.

Spaces are starting to be filled, please contact us to book your place.

All entrance fees at the FS Convention will be donated to the museum.

Other donations will be given to the local Air Ambulances, who are visiting the museum with their aircraft on the Saturday and Sunday.
